Looking for an IT tech for a network switch refresh at a USDA office in Watertown, NY. Scheduling between 8/10 - 8/13.
SITE:
• Watertown, NY 13601 — 1 (48-port) switch
SCOPE OF WORK:
• Meet with local Point of Contact
• Join Teams meeting to connect with remote engineer
• Locate and inventory equipment
• Take before photos of existing equipment
• Receive approval, power down existing device
• Remove old switch, install replacement
• Confirm internet access
• Box old equipment using new equipment packaging, apply shipping label
• Take after photos of installed device + serial number
• Remove all scrap and trash
TOOLS NEEDED:
• Screwdriver set (standard and Phillips-head)
• Console cable (standard Cisco console cable)
• Pliers
• Ladder
• Zip ties, tape, or other method of labeling cables before disconnection
• Laptop with Putty installed + alternate internet connection (hotspot or cell phone tethering)
Pay: $30/hr — minimum 2 hours guaranteed ($60) no matter how long it takes, paid hourly until completion.
