Marshall JCM 900 100 Watt Hi Gain Dual Reverb Head (Watertown, Philadelphia NY) $800

Up for sale is a Marshall JCM 900 100 Watt Hi Gain Dual Reverb Head. This is the 6l6, 5881 tube variation and looks to have been manufactured in 2000. This is a very loud amp with some legendary hi gain overdrive/ distortion that just can't be met with the classic JCM 800 without the addition of pedals. The amp runs wonderfully and has been faithful in my recording studio, but as with all tube amps, the tubes will eventually need replacing. If you know or have experience with tube amps, then you know this is a fact of life. Also, some of the pots are a bit scratchy while turning the knobs from dust which is a regular occurrence and found in any guitar amp that has been around for a little while. The pots can be cleaned and/ or are cheap to replace. Replacement is incredibly cheap with each pot being as low as a few dollars. They run fine, just sound a little scratchy when turning the knobs. I am not the first owner of this amp and consequently there are a few blemishes in the tolex. Mainly a few rips here and there. These are cosmetic issues that do not effect the sound however it is up to you whether you want to spend a great deal more for a more perfect looking head. The fuses were both replaced recently and the only aspect of the amp that is not functioning as it should be is the reverb. I bought the amp without the reverb working though i can say as previous owner of another JCM 900, the EL34 variation, the reverb is not the most desirable part of this particular model and subsequently i have chosen reverb pedals over it regardless. The reverb can be replaced however at your discretion.

This amp has some blemishes and shows the standard signs of older age, with scratchy pots and some rips in the tolex, but if you know good tube amps, these are hardly setbacks.

Feel free to check ebay for similar models. $800 is a steal considering with ebay there is shipping involved which could run as high as $75 more and you aren't given the option of trying it out.

Ernie Ball 5 String Stingray Bass Guitar (Watertown, Philadelphia NY) $1150

Up for sale is an eleven year old Ernie Ball Music Man 5 String Stingray Bass Guitar. This bass plays beautifully, it's action couldn't be more perfect, and its sound is exactly what you'd expect from an ernie ball bass. If you know anything about these basses, then you know they have a primary place in many classic and current rock records. Bands from Switchfoot to Paramore have used this brand of bass, and this particular model is no less than what they have used.

There is not much to say other than it is a beautiful model that plays extremely well. If you are a serious bassist then this is perfect for you. It comes with a hardshell case and straplocks for added convenience.

To my eyes there is only one small blemish which can be seen in one of the photographs below. It is a small nick in the paint. However, it would never be seen while it's being played simply because your right arm would cover it.

Similar 5-string stingrays can be bought on ebay for a similar amount however you will have to deal with shipping costs and the uncertainty of dishonesty while not even having the chance to try it out beforehand. Through craigslist you can contact me and setup a time to come play this guitar and make your decision.

This bass also comes with a hardshell case.

As a side note, on this particular listing, i'd be willing to trade one for one, for an American made Black Fender Jazz Bass, 4 string.

Up for sale is the incredible Johnson Amplification Marquis JM120 digital guitar amp combo 2x12. First off, i just want to say that i've run a local recording studio for over 5 years and have been a guitar player for over 15 years and this amp continues to blow me away with its near authentic replication of some classic guitar amps. It's unfortunate that Johnson does not make amps anymore, however all servicing of their entire product line is being carried out by Digitech.

To give you a brief overview of the amp, the Johnson Amplification website states this: "The JM120 takes you one step further than the JM60 by including two 100 Watt Johnson Premium loud speakers delivering stereo sound in one convenient combo package. With 18 different integrated amp models, 27 user/27 factory presets, 3 effects at once, stereo effects loops and a headphone out which doubles as speaker compensated direct outs, the Marquis JM120 is bound to make an impression." This amp can accurately emulate classic sounds like your favorite british amps such as the ac30 or those from Marshall. It achieves the very high end sound of a boutique amp such as Matchless, Bad Cat, or Soldano. It perfectly matches the sound of american fender amps and that's not all. Included are several forms of echo/ delay including a digital delay (think U2), an analog delay, and a ping pong delay. On top of that, there are plenty of modulation effects including chorus's and tremelo and most certainly some added distortion as well including emulations of the most widely used distortion ever, the tube screamer.

This amp is legendary in that it was of the first digital amps to really nail an authentic sound when it was emulating classic amps. Other companies such as Line 6 have come close, but the secret of a Johnson amp was the addition of a preamp tube to warm up the sound before hitting the digital effects, creating somewhat of a hybrid between the analog and digital amp realm. This has always separated this amp from the rest of the digital combos and from my own personal experience, why it is more believable in its sounds and more usable onstage and in the studio. These features combined with 2 12 inch speakers simply sounds amazing.

This amp brand new was close to $1500.00 but due to it being almost 10 years old and a few cosmetic blemishes as seen in the photo, i am willing to part with it for the much lower price of $300. When it is on ebay it has sold for a similar amount but keep in mind that there is no shipping fee and you get to try it out before purchasing. I prefer craigslist because of the face to face sale that removes any uncertainty of dishonesty.

As far as cosmetic issues and electrical issues; cosmetically it has a few small tolex rips that do not effect the sound. The "selection" knob is missing from the amp display. The base of the knob is still there allowing for complete functionality of the "selection" which simply switches default & user presets. The master volume pot is scratchy from dust. This is a common occurrence in amps that have been around for at least a few years. Dust settles in and thus the scratchiness begins. It does not effect the sound. While turning the knob it will be heard, but once settled on a volume, it plays beautifully. This can be "band aided" with general contact cleaner, and eventually replaced for very cheap from any amp tech. It is not something to be concerned over, just a fact of life with ANY amp. The rubber on the handle has come loose, though the handle is still in tact, but once again, find any other old amp that this hasn't happened too. Older amps suffer this and eventually any brand new amp will as well.

This amp is great for any serious gigging guitarist or even a learning student. It offers a wide array of options with a very high class sound, but due to its age and its cosmetics, the price is quite lower than what it used to be. This is a deal.

Tannoy NFM8 DMT Passive Speakers/ Monitors (Watertown, Philadelphia NY) $1050

Up for sale are a pair of Tannoy NFM8 DMT Passive Speakers. These are very high end speakers made primarily for the recording studio market. They are flat in eq response, and provide some of the most legendary audio found in studios around the world. Tannoy is one of the top brands in speaker design, and has been for more than 60 years. This pair has been resurfaced and painted. Brand new they were almost $1800, but i am willing to part with them for $1050.

This particular model is still highly sought after amongst recording engineers for its incredibly accurate representation of audio and the stereo image. This is due in part to Tannoy's Dual Concentric speaker design which is very different from your average speaker. Most speakers will display two drive units: a tweeter for the high frequencies and a second speaker for the mids and lows, placed in two different sections of the speaker cabinet. This causes the sound to essentially be spread out with the high's coming from one position and the lows from another. The Dual Concentric design puts the high frequency driver right inside of the low frequency driver placing the entire audible frequency range in one central area. This makes the sound much more accurate and more pleasing to the ear. There is less fatigue while listening to these speakers, and they will still deliver an accurate sound. They will not always sound pretty. They are not made to flatter you. They will be accurate and show you exactly the quality of music you are making so you can properly adjust and engineer the best recordings to your ability.

They are in perfect working order with very minor blemishes on the cabinets. Mainly a few scratches here and there. These are very solid in build and the design of the cabinet is heavily related to the acoustical accuracy of the sound produced from these speakers.

Washburn 4 String Bass Guitar (Watertown, Philadelphia) $350

Up for sale is a beautiful 4 string Washburn Bass Guitar. I have personally used this bass in my studio for the last 5 years, and before that on several records as a session bassist. Don't let the price fool you. This bass plays extremely well. It also feels very solid and its action is flawless. The neck has as slightly smaller scale than most basses providing a very comfortable feel for the average bassist, and especially guitarists who like to crossover at times. It also sounds great as well. Very balanced with an eq section that really lets you carve out exactly what you want, without providing too many options to confuse you with. It is handcrafted and has been stored properly over the years.

I cannot find any cosmetic blemish on the bass, however there is one electrical electrical issue that must be noted. One of the EQ knobs is quite scratchy when turned. I have sprayed contact cleaner into the pot which has helped with the problem somewhat. This does not prevent the bass from being used to its fullest potential. It just means that over the years dust has gotten into it and soon it will need to be replaced. This is a very easy thing to do for even the most humble of DIY electricians. However, to have it serviced at a guitar repair shop, it will still cost next to nothing. The replacement pot will most likely only be a few bucks. This is nothing to be alarmed about, any guitar that is older will often have a similar issue and any brand new guitar will eventually experience this. It is not a sign of abuse but normal wear and tear. In this particular case, the bass is still good to go, and can be played without hindrance.

Once again this is a great bass. I have used it professionally, however it would be a great bass for a student as well. Often when someone posts that a particular instrument is "great for students" it generally means, "this is junk and not a professional instrument, only able to sell to a parent who can be ripped off." This is not the case here as i have used it for many years in the recording studio. This is a reliable bass guitar for any player at a very reasonable price. A hardshell case is included.

To set the record straight. THIS GUITAR HAS A FLOYD ROSE TREMOLO.
I understand that LTD makes an EC-1000 THAT DOES NOT HAVE A FLOYD ROSE TREMOLO
From what I understand about this particular guitar is that the EC-1000 without the FLOYD ROSE TREMOLO
is a couple hundred dollars less expensive than the EC-1000 that has a FLOYD ROSE TREMOLO.
I keep gettin e-mails from clowns telling me im selling this guitar for to much and send me a link to musicians friend
for the EC-1000 that does not have the FLOYD ROSE TREMOLO when mine clearly has a FLOYD ROSE TREMOLO !!!!
