Polish Pottery is oven, microwave, dishwasher, and freezer safe because the artists who create it carefully select their clays and bake them at the searing temperature of 2,246 degrees Fahrenheit - so it becomes as hard as stone and non-porous. As with all stoneware, however, one should avoid sudden, extreme changes in temperature. For best results, bring baking dishes to room temperature before heating. While the pottery is oven safe - any extreme temperature changes can cause the problems. Also, it is best to not cook over 350 degrees for the same reasoning. As with any stoneware - if proper precautions are not taken the stoneware bakeware may crack.

Offering for sale is this lusterware creamer and sugar bowl made by Noritaki in 1928. The colorful branch and flower background on white with blue trim nicely accented is both functional and decorative for displaying. The mark on the bottom has been determined in the made in Japan books that of Noritaki. The sugar bowl measures about 4 1/2 inches tall and about 6 inches across the handles.Some misplaced dots of paint under the glaze these items have no chips,cracks or repairs.***NOTE*** I noticed a spelling error with the info I gave from a made in Japan book on the spelling of the chikaramachi Mark so I posted more info in another pic below to show the spelling error.Thanks 315-921-2359

A nice mixture of a luster glaze of blueish white bodies and white lids accented by black handles and trim.The teapot measures about 6 inches tall and is about 7 5/8 inches across the spout to the handle. The sugar bowl is about 4 3/8 inches tall and 5 3/8 inches acorss the handles and the creamer is about 3 1/8 inches tall and about 4 1/2 inches across from the spout to the handle.Very attractive for display or useage.
